A new year and a new job

Late last year, I blogged about career change. The management approved it in January. After almost a year of departure preparation, it comes through finally. Replacement was hired. Coached him for 4 months. It will still take many more months to fine-tune his skill.

This is my last week in IT. I started my career in IT 10 years ago. It's superb to see how much IT has changed since. I really enjoyed working in IT world.

Next year - a new year and a new job. My job is as petrophysics (测井) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petrophysics). I'm starting from scratch.
