different working life

in an old fashioned office environment, there is not much of concern about time of meeting or location of the meeting. always on the same time... and won't interrupt other's sleeps. better still, there always exists human touch in such meeting.. whether over the phone or sitting on the same table. you can punch your meeting mate. your mandarin or english is the same as mine... if mine is broken, his or hers will not be so much different.

today's business world expand around the globe. different language, culture, etc.. wrote essay based on this theme rather often in secondary school. now i faced this situation. it already 8pm. just came into office to attend meeting... via computers. do not know who's at the other side of the world.. how he/she look like.. old or young. i spoke english.. so were they... but sounds different.
